Veteran's Day Weekend
Veteran's Day is upon us, and with that, a three day weekend for many of us in the city of Burbank. This generally means additional travel, more social gatherings, and a busier city of Burbank. Because of the holiday weekend, you should expect to see additional specialized enforcement by the Burbank Police Department. This will likely include an emphasis on traffic concerns, with the DUI Enforcement team patrolling the city, as well as additional officers for public safety incidents which may be reported over the weekend.
Taking the above into consideration, it is especially important to be extra careful during this weekend. If you are going out and are planning to drink, make sure you have a designated driver or taxi ride. Holidays, oftentimes, create tensions between family and friends, and with other people in the community.Try to take extra care in your interactions with everyone throughout the weekend. Remember, that Burbank Police Department is very concerned about safety within the city limits, and will likely be cautious in reported disturbance calls.
I also wanted to take a few moments to thank all of our past and present military personnel, for their dedication and service to all of us.
So, be safe, enjoy the weekend, and take a moment to remember the veterans
